It is at home in any production or R&D environment where strict temperature control is essential. The key difference between the 2020 and other high performance stations is its temperature lock-out system which prevents unauthorized or accidental changes in temperature. It is equipped with an internal calibrating system, universal switching power supply and temperatures can be displayed in either Centigrade or Fahrenheit so it can be used outside the USA. This soldering station is in a league of its own and ideally suited for technicians with high-end or special applications. The 2020 is the tool that gets the job done right.

    It's nice that this station works on worldwide voltages. It has a power supply similar to a laptop that will automatically adjust to 110-240V as needed. I have to travel worldwide to service equipment and this saves me from having to decide on what voltage equipment to put in my tool case. Station seems to work reliably every time I have used it. As long as it's made in USA I will continue to buy and recommend it!
