If you design, manufacture or test products within the electronics industry this is an opportunity for you to
come along and see what is available and trial new products that are engineered to suit your needs.
EDSYN Inc. is pleased to announce the official launch of the ‘Legacy Series’ which marks a new
period in the history of EDSYN and pays tribute to our founder and the inventor of the SOLDAPULLT, this industry’s
first Desoldering hand tool, Bill Fortune.
The ‘Legacy Series’ will include the release of newly innovated products as well as an up-grade
to some of the existing product lines that those in the industry have come to know and love. Bill’s daughter
Lori Fortune and CEO at EDSYN defines the essence of the new series when she states “the series will contain
the products and technology that my father brought to this industry and is his bequest to future generations
in the field of electronics.”
The first in the 'Legacy Series' to come to market is the much awaited 951SXe soldering station which has been the topic of much refinement within the R&D Department. Not only does
this station demonstrate the passion and expertise of Bill but reflects a little of his personality with its
striking blue light.
The new 951SXe has been designed to take the place of the much loved and popular 951SX. The
951SX has been a top selling soldering iron for many years but EDSYN has listened to the voice
of its customers who asked for a smaller footprint and a more modern look to the station. The new 951SXeretains
all the functionality of the 951SX ensuring that EDSYN customers will not be disappointed. Key features of
the new 951SXeinclude:
- Rounded shape along with new lower casing providing a smaller footprint
- Lightweight (weighs less than 2.5lbs)
- Lights up - An attractive light rim at the port of the solder pencil that indicates when the tool is on
- Smaller, modern push button power switch
- Compact modular sponge tray
Quality is always a top priority when selecting a soldering iron and the 951SXe delivers on
quality as does all EDSYN products. Circuit boards have come a long way in the past 20 years requiring skill
and dexterity on the part of the operator. A quality iron goes a long way to ensuring that the workmanship
and performance of the operator is at its best. When asked to comment on the advantages of purchasing EDSYN
products, Lori states “EDSYN has stood the test of time and our products continue to be of the highest quality”.
EDSYN stands apart from its competitors in that it brought innovation into the world of soldering and desoldering
and as a result revolutionized the industry. “This is a legacy that speaks for itself and was created by an
inventor that loved this industry” says Lori Fortune.
What can EDSYN’s customers look forward to in the future? “Bill Fortune has passed on his passion, work ethic
and creative drive not only to his children and grand-children but the family of employees that are loyally
working to maintain his legacy” states Lori. EDSYN has always manufactured in the United States and there are
no plans to change this. When asked about the future of EDSYN, Director of Sales and Marketing, Juli Fortune
says “We stand by our name and will continue my father’s legacy of Engineering Dedicated to Suit Your Needs
through innovating and producing new and improved products”.
The ‘Legacy Series’ does just that. It will give EDSYN customers the reliable feel and durability
of what they have come to know and love about EDSYN products but delivering such with a modern twist. This
really is about fusing old technology with the new to create a series that will forever be part of the legacy
of its inventor.
